Manufacturing Engineer for Optical Fiber at SpaceX in Redmond, WA. **What you'll do** - Develop manufacturing and test processes for optical fiber assemblies from NPI to high-volume production. - Design and implement test procedures to improve optical fiber reliability. - Collaborate with design teams and suppliers to drive process improvements and corrective actions. - Lead investigations on non-conforming hardware to determine root cause. **What they're looking for** - Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, materials science, physics, or other engineering discipline. - 1+ years of professional mechanical/electromechanical design, analysis, testing, and/or manufacturing experience. - Preferred: 3+ years of hands-on experience with optical fiber assemblies and testing. - Preferred: Knowledge of fiber technologies, harness manufacturing, and high-volume production. **Details** - Location: Redmond, WA, United States - Type: Full-time
